In Her Dress is a creative curatorial research project that explores regional Greek dress using primary research methods and creative interpretation. It focuses on exploring transgenerational and autobiographical notions of femininity, memory and tradition by placing the researcher, Eleni Chasioti, in replica regional dresses to experience both the physical and emotional effects of specific feminine ensembles.

The project aims to shed light on the traditions of Greek dress and their history, which are often underrepresented within academia and Fashion Studies.

Most importantly, In Her Dress is an expression of past and present female stories and a reclamation of their space in contemporary times.

Its first part features a replica wedding dress from Kalamoti in Chios, Greece.
